AH-1 Cobra

This AH-1G Cobra Helicopter entered US Military Service in 1964.  The Cobra Helicopter Specialized is a specialized support helicotper.  It is the first US Military Helicopter designed as a gunship.  This Cobra is Serial Number 70-16042.

AH-64 Apache

The multi-mission AH-64D Apache Longbow is the next-generation version of original AH-64A Apache. With its fire-control radar, the aircraft is known as the AH-64D Apache Longbow. Without the radar, the combat-proven aircraft is called the AH-64D Apache.

Bell 47

The Bell 47 Helicopter was used extensively in the Korean War as a MedaVac helicopter.  The Bell 47 proved to the US Military the advantages of the helicopter in war time activities and led to the developement of the Bell "Huey" Helicopter.

CH-47 Chinook

The Boeing CH-47 Chinook is an American twin-engine, tandem rotor heavy-lift helicopter. With a top speed of 170 knots (196 mph, 315 km/h) it is faster than contemporary utility and attack helicopters of the 1960s.

The Bell “Huey” Helicopter became one of the most recognizable aircraft in history during the Vietnam War.  The Vietnam war was the first war shown on the television and the Huey Helicopter was seen by millions nightly.
